7. Forest regeneration: Bega Dry Grass Forest

The scene opposite (and images below) show remnants of Bega Dry Grass Forest. Rough-barked apple (Angophora floribunda), Forest Red Gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis) and Acacia spp. can be found surviving (and regenerating) in the Misty Vale Arboretum. Exotic grasses dominate the ground cover, although Poa spp. are present along with the sporadic occurrence of Kangaroo grass (Themeda australis). In the regenerating shrub layer, the Blackthorn (Bursaria spinosa) can be found.
